The children of this project all come from the poorest level of the society. No child ever received more than one meal per day in his family, if so much at all. They have no prospect of ever escaping from the vicious circle of poverty and illiteracy, if they do not receive help from outside. That is why we have set our main aim on their education in order to enable them to work and earn for themselves and be independent. Our aims at a glance
- a school education of 10 years (plus 2 pre-school years)
- a vocational or professional course according to their capacity
- to secure a first employment
- to promote girls in particular
Apart from this we also support other groups of the society like
- pregnant battered women whom we take into our Home in order to provide them with new prospects and independence in life
- adolescents without a school qualification. . They are invited to courses of various types like sewing, carpentry, metal works as well as sports, computers or drama for their free time activities.
- A Vocational Training Centre was opened on January 1st 2008 with branches of Sewing, Carpentry, Electrical and Computers initially and several others in course of time. .
All these youngsters usually live from hand to mouth never planning for a day in advance. They are therefore also taught to secure their future by
- saving in general, but particularly in respect of
- health insurance, provident fund and basic household
equipment for their children
Our School is developing into a Youth Centre!
